Why Nerdia?
As you might have guessed from my name, I am a bit of a nerd! By day, I am an application developer, currently working on radiology and imaging systems for a hospital network in Toronto. I love the challenge of automaton and efficiency, and coding is something that I thoroughly enjoy. Working for a hospital slightly sweetens the deal since it helps me feel as if I am contributing to society, even though that amount is probably miniscule. By night, I am a fabric collector who is trying to find uses for all the fabric I have stashed away. I love the beat of the sewing machine when I am sewing; I love tearing fabric down the grain, and most of all I love reorganizing all my fabric and rediscovering all of the patterns. Everything is currently made by hand, love, and sometimes a lot of cursing by me. :) Most names are derived from Kurt Vonnegut Jr books; one of the greatest writers to have ever existed. If you have not read any of his material, I definitely encourage you to do so!
