The Highway of Heroes
While I was driving on hwy 401 today, the bridges above were filled with people and Canadian flags. Sadly, I’ve been seeing this more often.
It always brings me to tears, as I’m filled with a feeling of sadness over the death of the soldiers as well as a feeling of patriotism and pride for the soldiers who sacrifice their lives for our country.
I am very glad that we have the highway of heroes, for I hope those who have lost their loved ones see people waiting on the bridges and know that we’re all very proud and honoured to have had them serve our country.
